“And I have been to endless Circle gatherings in which the prayer touched me more deeply than I can say. I knew that this is where God had called me to be. I knew myself saved – yes, me; I a sinner – saved, a sinner such as me – by God’s grace. Hallelujah, I rejoiced within as I went on my way in the world.

“And so,” (Eb’s heart lifted a trembling flicker of hope) “my Brothers and Sisters, I urge you today, as I lead you into this quietness of prayer that means so much to me, to humble yourselves as I did before the God who saves; to find yourselvesas I did at the foot of the Cross – and to open your hearts, as I opened mine, to the Light.”
